A cleaner, brighter smile starts here
Your healthiest smile begins with hygiene and Airflow
Stained Teeth or Build-Up You Can't Shift At Home? We Can Help
Brushing and flossing at home can only do so much. Over time, plaque, tartar and everyday staining from tea, coffee, red wine or smoking can build up in places a toothbrush simply can't reach.
Airflow uses a fine jet of water, air and gentle powder to lift surface stains and plaque, while a thorough hygiene appointment cleans below the gumline to help protect against gum disease.
We welcome hygiene and Airflow patients from Hilton Dental Care, Perham Down, Shipton Bellinger, Ludgershall, Collingbourne Ducis and Cholderton, all just a short drive from our practice on Station Road.

Airflow or traditional scale and polish?
Here are five differences worth knowing before you decide. We'll talk through both options at your appointment, including which one suits your teeth best.
At Hilton Dental Care Dental, our approachable team can discuss all the benefits of Airflow including:
01
Airflow is gentler on enamel and gums than traditional scaling tools, making it a comfortable option for patients with sensitive teeth.
02
It's especially effective at lifting stubborn surface staining from tea, coffee, red wine and smoking that a standard polish may not fully remove.
03
Many patients from Ludgershall and Perham Down find Airflow quicker and more comfortable, with visibly brighter results straight after treatment.
04
Airflow can reach into small grooves and around braces or implants without damaging the surface.
05
Every appointment is tailored to your needs, whether that's a routine clean or extra focus on stubborn staining.
Is hygiene and Airflow treatment right for you?
Most adults benefit from regular hygiene visits, and Airflow is suitable for the majority of patients. A few things need checking first, and we'd rather tell you at the appointment than partway through.

FAQs
Does a hygiene appointment or Airflow hurt?
Most patients find both very comfortable. You may feel some sensitivity around the gumline if there's a build-up of tartar, but this is usually mild and settles quickly.
How often should I have a hygiene appointment?
Most people benefit from a hygiene visit every 6 months, though some patients are advised to come more or less often depending on their gum health.
Is hygiene treatment available on the NHS?
Hygiene appointments are usually offered privately at Hilton Dental Care Dental. We'll talk you through pricing and what's included at your visit.
Can Airflow remove all types of staining?
Airflow is very effective on surface staining from food, drink and smoking, though staining within the tooth itself may need a separate whitening treatment.
Will my teeth feel different after treatment?
Yes, most patients notice their teeth feel smoother and look brighter immediately after a hygiene and Airflow appointment.
Do you treat patients outside Hilton Dental Care?
Yes, we regularly see patients travelling from Perham Down, Shipton Bellinger, Ludgershall, Collingbourne Ducis and Cholderton, all within a short drive of our Station Road practice.
How do I get started?
Book a hygiene and Airflow appointment, and our hygienist will assess your teeth and gums before treatment.
